I set it to 2, problem fixed and grass starts loading again. I don't have an immediate solution. Just tested both. If you're willing to go the extra mile we can compare the shots. But there's something off: despite my ini settings being absolutely identical between the tests with Verdant and Veydosebrom, it looks like the latter behaves very differently from the former when it comes to grass fade distance: Verdant stays consistent in it's quantity up to the fade distance and beyond that, the grass fades away as expected, and as it's always been.
